Mario I just watched your mother's intervention and I felt compelt to write you. Please don't give up on her I two were an addict and I also have a 21-year old son and it is just the two of us. I was clean for 13-years then I lost my mother this January and had surgery in Feburary on my shoulder. I don't want to get into a long sad story but I just wanted you to know that it can be done (your mother staying clean). I fell off for a month in February because of the pain but I once again caught myself for my son's sake, You see I love him more than anything in this world. So now I can claim 7 months of soberity in yes sometimes when things get hard I think of using again but that is not the example I want to set for my son. Mario I don't have to tell you about all the killing of our young black men and I worry about my child and I don't want him thinking it is okay to sell or use drugs because I did or do. You see he took my moms death hard we moved here from Los Angeles when he was six so he grew up with her, he even left college with one year left because of my illness as well, he did not want to loose both of us. Don't let your moms addiction get you down stay positive for her and your love will keep her strong. I do hope you read this you see it has been a hard year and it is a fight everyday to keep my son off the streets you see 5-months after my mom my God-son who was 22-years old killed himself and that was another blow to myself and my son because they were 1 year and 3 days apart. They birthday is coming up in November also my moms birthday is in November, so you see every day life is a struggle but I am a Soudaj Girl and so is your mom. Well I have talked enough like I said I just wanted you to know I two had a son who grew up seening his mom in the bathroom or kitchen with a pipe. He was a baby when I got off the needle, so he really don't remember does days. Hang in there baby it will be OKAY!!!
