Mario At The J&R Summerfest Today!
OMG, Mario was WONDERFUL at the J&R Summerfest today! He was just amazing. The last time I had seen Mario was back during Just A Friend, and seeing him now... WOW! The boy has truly grown into a man! He gets on stage and really does his thing. He can sing so beautifully, and, boy, does he know how to get the crowd screaming! It was funny because I could look around the audience and see little 12 year old girls and older women with their children waiting to listen to Mario. He really is a marvelous artist. After the performance (he did a couple of older (debut album) songs, a couple of Turning Point songs, and then some Go! songs) he had an album signing (you're probably wondering signing what since the album didn't come out yet, but when you paid for a pre-order, they gave you an album sampler and a T-shirt). So he signed my album sampler and gave me a hug. And it was just... yeah, it was great. I recorded just about all of his performances, so if you would like to see it, please head over to marios-haven.com and check it out (just not tonight though since it's going to take a while to edit everything into a tidy and neat movie).

I saw the video you posted on Youtube and it was hot! I LOVED that slowed down part when he lifted up his shirt - that was just hillarious!

Hahaha, I had fun editing that video to do an instant replay. I keep trying to get myself together to do the rest of the videos, but now with school officially out, I could get them ready.

I was just at Marios-haven.com and all i can say is THANK YOUI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i watched the videos you have there and it was wonderful. I hated the hood though i wished he would have taken that off but i LOVED it when you went back to when he lifted his shirt lol great job you gave me my Mario fix i can go to bed happy!

I guess it would depend on who's hosting the event. The J&R thing was free, so it was a first come first serve kinda thing. If it's like a club, there might be a pay at the door kinda thing, or they might have an office somewhere to buy tickets from.

I am so jealous, i would have loved to see him perform. I told my people that when it comes time for him to go on tour I'm there. I'll pay anything to see him up close. I want to feel sweat lol, that's how close i want to be. I don't think i could of asked for a hug though. My grown behind would of freaked out. His voice message says that he's in Philly now so maybe i'll check that out, if i have the time. I think it's just a club thing though( Club Love?) i think . But hey seeing Mario is all i care about ,the setting doesn't matter!
PS how do you go about getting tickets for any of his events? i went on ticketmaster and they don't have an event for him at all. Am i looking in the wrong place? Help!
I wanna see him so bad. I swear the next time he stops in Philly I HAVE to see him. Or something in South Jersey. He seems like he'd be a real good live performer. I would have to get a hug from him, eff the shyness. lol.
OMG, don't talk about nervousness. Was surprised I could even give him a hug. My hands were shaking on the way to the train.
I'm still mad that they wouldn't let you take a picture with him. Things were different that morning when Tank was there. We took pictures, had personalized and commented autographs. But then again, Tank gathered a different kind of crowd. But still, I would've liked a picture. :(

and yes Mario did give an amazing and very grown up performance.
Wow you're so lucky u got a hug from him, I was too nervous to even speak to him yet alone hug him lol, but I'm sure he would have if I had asked, He just signed my poster and my cd sampler. Btw go has been pushed back to August 21st, that my son's birthday so I'm not too mad. I got a couple recordings his performance too, maybe I'll upload them to myspace page.

I have a copy from the 100 Black Men Celebration last week in Vegas & I play it non-stop ... I really can't wait 4 album GO 2 be released :D
